The Lock In · Refined By Manda
Written to be read, not to be survived. It covers The Lock In app, the calorie tracker, the macro calculator and the habit tracker — whether you use them on the web or from the App Store or Google Play.
We collect what the app needs to do its job and nothing else. Your macros, your meals, your habit ticks and your meal photos. Manda can see your data because she is your coach — that is the whole point. No other member can see it. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and you can have all of it deleted by asking.

The app asks for the camera only when you tap to photograph a meal, and the microphone only when you tap to speak one. Neither runs in the background, and neither records anything you did not start.
Speech is converted to text on your own device by your phone's built-in dictation. We do not receive or store an audio recording — only the words it produced, so the estimate can be worked out.
What you eat and what you weigh is health information, and we treat it that way. It is stored with your account, it is visible to you and to your coach, and it is never used for anything except coaching you.
The macro numbers this app produces are an estimate from a standard formula (Mifflin-St Jeor), and the photo and voice estimates are exactly that — estimates. This app does not give medical advice, and nothing in it is medical advice. If you are pregnant, managing a medical condition, or taking medication that interacts with diet, talk to your doctor before changing how you eat.
We use a small number of companies to run the app. Each one sees only what it needs, and none of them may use your data for their own purposes.

On the AI estimates. When you photograph or describe a meal, that photo or those words are sent to Anthropic's API to be read, and the estimate comes back. Anthropic does not use data sent through its API to train its models. Nothing else about you is sent with it — not your name, not your email.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you your data, correct it, export it, or delete it. If you are in California, the EU or the UK, you have those rights by statute; we extend them to everyone anyway.
To delete your account and everything in it, or to get a copy of your data, email linxeos@gmail.com with the subject DELETE MY DATA. We will confirm within 7 days and finish within 30.
To stop texts, reply STOP to any message. To stop emails, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of them. Neither closes your account — tell us if that is what you want.
The Lock In is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect anything from a child. If you believe a minor has made an account, email us and we will remove it.
Everything travels over an encrypted connection and is encrypted where it is stored. Passwords are hashed — we cannot read yours, and neither can Manda. Meal photos sit in private storage that will not serve a file to anyone but you and your coach. No system is perfect; if we ever learn your data has been exposed, we will tell you.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect, and update the date at the top.
